"Structured Day Recovery (SDR) allowed me to build my new life...This has made me the person that I am today and for that I am eternally grateful”

benefits of an SDRP

A Structured Day Recovery Programme (SDRP) is for recovering addicts / alcoholics and those with other life controlling behaviors (aged 18+) who can access a structured programme from home, 5 days a week. It is holistic and includes the necessary therapeutic support and skills development to live a life free from addiction.

It gives those in recovery the opportunity to confront and work through the issues of life on a daily basis, in a safe environment.

Costs are relatively low because staff cover is only needed for the hours of the programme.

Increased possibility of working with the family of clients and helping the client to build a local support network - crucial for an individuals continued recovery.

Established Centres offering structured day recovery programmes can give rise to communities of recovery in the locality.
