A Structured Day Recovery Programme (SDRP) is for recovering addicts / alcoholics and those with other life controlling behaviors (aged 18+) who can access a structured programme from home, 5 days a week. It is holistic and includes the necessary therapeutic support and skills development to live a life free from addiction.
It gives those in recovery the opportunity to confront and work through the issues of life on a daily basis, in a safe environment.
Costs are relatively low because staff cover is only needed for the hours of the programme.
Increased possibility of working with the family of clients and helping the client to build a local support network - crucial for an individuals continued recovery.

|elements of an SDRP
Education - basic Maths and English.
Life Skills e.g. parenting skills, money management, job interview skills.
12 Step teaching - or equivalent.
Lunchtimes - service users share a nutritious meal together in a relaxed family atmosphere, with a short thought for the day or testimony of recovery included.
Key working with individual service users.
Facilitation groups - where service users can share issues arising in their recovery in a safe and positive environment.
